The funds raised through this event will directly benefit Dr. David Reardon's research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This research is very close to our hearts and we have witnessed Dr. Reardon's passion toward it as well.
Tim passed away from a glioblastoma multi-form brain tumor at just 53 years of age, in April of 2012. After his initial surgery he was given 3-6 months to live, possibly a year with treatment. Through clinical trials and our knowledgeable physicians, we were blessed to have him for 21 months.
Over the last twelve years, the HOPE...It's a Beach Thing events have raised $661,000 for brain tumor research led by Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Dr. David Reardon.
We HOPE that through research, others will survive this horrible disease and their families and friends will not have to suffer the loss of a husband, wife, father, mother, brother, sister, or friend. We personally know so many others affected by this disease and we HOPE that you will join us in this effort to help find a cure for brain cancer.
