Arbella Insurance Group is committed to funding vital cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since 2015, Arbella has been the Official Auto Insurance Partner of the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber, helping to spread awareness among its agents and policyholders, and offering an auto insurance discount as an incentive to Jimmy Fund donors.

Throughout the year, Arbella raises funds for the Jimmy Fund through its discount program for Massachusetts drivers and through events such as its annual Pink Day, during which staff fundraise and all funds are matched by Arbella Insurance Foundation. During the Boston Red Sox season, Arbella Insurance Foundation makes a $50 contribution for each strikeout thrown by a Boston pitcher, up to $100,000. This Red Sox and Jimmy Fund support culminates each year at the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon, a 36-hour live broadcast sharing stories of hope and courage from Dana-Farber patients, of which Arbella has been the presenting sponsor since 2014.

Arbella is committed to striking out cancer for patients at Dana-Farber — and so are its employees. Staff answer the phones during the Radio-Telethon, taking donations for the Jimmy Fund, and Arbella employees make visits to Dana-Farber on World Kindness Day, providing gift cards and joy to adult and pediatric cancer patients.

In recognition of its tremendous support, Arbella was a recipient of the 2019 Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund Award, the Jimmy Fund’s highest honor. The award is given annually to individuals and organizations that demonstrate a longstanding commitment to the lifesaving mission of Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. In total, Arbella Insurance Group and Arbella Insurance Foundation have together contributed almost $3 million to research and care at the Institute.
