Thank you for celebrating Giving Day with us!

On May 22, we celebrated Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund’s annual Giving Day. This special day was dedicated to bringing our community together to support our mission to defy cancer. Funds raised supported The Dana-Farber Campaign, our ambitious, multi-year fundraising effort to prevent, treat, and defy cancer.

Thanks to our incredible donor community, more than $704,833 was raised for The Defy Cancer Fund, surpassing the fundraising goal of $500,000! This success is thanks to the commitment of more than 3,189 supporters, as well as a generous Dana-Farber Trustee who volunteered to triple their gifts, up to a total of $250,000.

The Defy Cancer Fund supports unrestricted funding, which helps Dana-Farber to pursue innovative early stage research, speed new drugs into clinical trials, expand access to care and reduce cancer disparities, and support critical programs that address the needs of patients and their families. To recognize Giving Day, adult and pediatric patients, like Norma-Rose, shared their inspiring stories of courage and hope, illustrating the difference these funds have made in their lives and for their families.
